This was a job we recently completed (Sept 24) in Hartington in the Peak District National Park. The materials used were very old to match the character of the period property.
From start to finish the job took us 3 weeks to complete and the clients were very happy.
A big thanks to M&R Contractors and High Peak Landscapes for jumping on with us.
Original path lifted to reveal what we were working with.
The customer wanted the path and patio to match with no pebbles. We dug the path out and stoned it with type 1 mot before sourcing flags which matched the existing patio and relayed the path using these to finish off we used basalt nexus for pointing
The original patio in Chinley had started to sag and suffer ground heave due to the foundation having settled over time. We imported 6 tonnes of mot gravel to compress to make a new secure foundation.
Patio slabs selected were Raj Green 900x600 Indian stone which compliment the surrounding area very well. Customer was very happy with the finished result.
The original patio in Marple had become very broken and needed to be replaced and updated.
This comprised of laying a new 'Kandla Grey' Indian stone patio, with new sleeper edgings.
The new patio has been laid on a 150mm base of type 1 mot (which we compacted) and a full contact bed.
Jointed with Nexus pro joint resin compound.
